Appointment of Nick Redfern as Head of Equities

As part of the on-going expansion of VSA Capital, Nick Redfern has joined the firm as Head of Equities to assist in the creation of an institutional sales and trading capability and help augment the development of the companies existing research capability in the natural resources and agricultural sectors.

Nick is a well-known name in the City having started his career at Smith New Court before spending six years at Dresdner Kleinwort as Managing Director responsible for Pan-European Emerging Company sales.

After successful stints at Arbuthnot and Oriel Securities he was Head of Equities at Blue Oar Securities and was instrumental in growing the company into a multi-sector UK product broker.

Speaking about his appointment Nick commented, “I am delighted to be joining VSA at an exciting growth stage for the firm and look forward to working with Andrew and some of the Blue Oar management team again”.
